Gas Grills Service, Repair, and Installation

GRILLS

Most gas grills are trouble-free for a while. Then one day, something happens, and your grill stops working like it used to. Maybe your gas grill doesn’t get as hot, maybe you can’t light it like you used to, maybe you smell gas when you shouldn’t. The Flame Steward is your one-stop shop for gas grill repair, installation, and maintenance. Whatever task or questions you have related to your grill, cart grill, post grill, built-in grill or outdoor kitchen, we can help.

POST MOUNTED GRILLS

These gas grills were very popular in the 1960’s and 70’s, mostly due to the MHP (Modern Home Products) company.  Also the local gas company would install these and set up a payment through your gas bill. MHP and other post-mount manufacturers really designed these grills to last the test of time, with an aluminum shell to retain heat and inexpensive replacement parts that are easy to find. These grill

s are great for families and small groups. Some of these grills are able to be transformed into cart or built-in type grills with a conversion kit by removing the oven “head” and installing it onto a cart or structure. However, it is dependent on the grill manufacturer.

Maintenance and service for post-mounted grills (detailed grill clean)-

The Flame Steward will restore your post-mounted grill to great condition!

Our actions to provide a great grill clean include:

  • Cleaning the interior and exterior of the grill, breaking off as much carbon build up as possible
  • Removing all components inside the grill and using a high-speed wire wheel to remove rust and grease from cooking grids, rocks, rock grate, and burner
  • Cleaning cooking grids with soap, water and rinse
  • Painting the entire outside of grill with high heat paint (black only)
  • Lubricating valves
  • Blowing burner components with high pressure air
  • Testing the burner and ignition (If ignition system is needed, we can replace it onsite.)
POST MAINTENANCE

Maintenance and service for smaller post grills is usually between $145-$200 depending on size, where it is located, and type of grill (example: on the 4th story of apartment building versus on the 1st floor. Firemagic, DCS, and Viking grills are much more intricate to work on).

POST  INSTALLATION

Installation for smaller post grills is between $175 and $225 and will include assembly, new fittings on existing gas line, and free hook up with valve gas line and fittings if gas source is within 10 feet of grill location.

Note!   If gas is not flowing to the grill, you may have a broken or split gas line, there may be a clog somewhere, or in some cases, your grill may be disconnected. A full diagnostic from the gas line to the appliance shut-off valve can be evaluated to ensure there is no leak from your gas line. We can evaluate this before or after we clean the grill to tackle any gas flow issues you are having and come up with the best solutions to your problem.
